I’m Jordi Casassayas, tourism consultant with proven experience in the tourism sector in areas such as planning, marketing, technology and teaching. This diversity of areas of action makes it difficult to establish a single label that defines me… but whatever I do, I always do it with the aim of contributing analytical ability, business vision, creativity and commitment to the project

Throughout these years of working life I have been able to get to know and learn different work methodologies thanks to my time in the service sectors, public administration, the industrial sector and education. The experience gained working in hotels showed me the importance of customer attention and detail, while my time in public administration made me aware of the need to have a global vision of tourism development, so and the need for cooperation between companies and administration.

Although my professional career has never been detached from the tourism sector, I have also been fortunate to know the industrial sector, which has made me aware of the importance of constant innovation and how this is combined with planning and the need to make projects viable. From this stage I also take with me the learnings acquired in terms of negotiation, empathy and personal relationships between professionals.

The more than 10 years linked to the world of education, mainly at the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Girona, allows me to constantly contrast the reality of the tourism industry with the more methodological and future-oriented side offered by the university environment . At the same time, the vision of students arriving with new perspectives implies a constant review of the work we do, helping me to be a better professional in my day-to-day life.

Finally, the stage dedicated to tourism consultancy allows me to participate in many different projects with the learning that this fact generates. Although the essence of the consulting work remains, each project is unique and presents new challenges to which I try to respond in a professional and approachable way.
